Rainy River District Paramedic Services (RRDPS) delivers high-quality pre-hospital care from four stations located in Atikokan, Fort Frances, Emo, and Rainy River. Paramedics respond to 911 calls and medical emergencies across the district 24/7, supported by a modern, well-equipped fleet strategically positioned for timely response. Fort Frances also functions as a central hub, providing additional daytime coverage during the week.

In addition to emergency response, RRDPS offers Community Paramedicine programs that support proactive, non-emergent care to help patients manage chronic conditions, access care at home, and reduce hospital visits.

The service is staffed by a dedicated team of Primary Care Paramedics, Supervisors, and administrative support personnel committed to the health and safety of the communities we serve.

The Rainy River District spans approximately 15,400 square kilometers and has a population of 19,437 (2021 Census). It is bordered by the Kenora District to the north, Thunder Bay District to the east, the Province of Manitoba to the west, and the State of Minnesota to the south.
