Mine Development

Mining has established itself as a promising industry for Fort Frances and the Rainy River District. The Rainy River Gold project, specifically, is an advanced-stage gold project situated in the Richardson Township, approximately sixty-five kilometres northwest of Fort Frances in Northwestern Ontario. Once in full operation, the Rainy River Project (RRP) is anticipated to create approximately 600 permanent jobs. The construction work force would be approximately 450 people.
