Residential Renovate and Rebuild Grant

This grant is to be used to improve residential properties that are in need of significant repair or are assessed at dramatically less value than other properties in their area. The grant is provided in two parts; the first rebates a portion of municipal charges associated with the rebuild or demolition and the second provides a partial tax relief on the new value.

Residential Demolition Grant

This grant is to be used to improve residential properties that are deemed to uneconomical to repair. The grant provides a rebate for a portion of the municipal landfill costs associated with the demolition.

Multi Residential Renovate and Rebuild Grant

This grant is to be used to improve multi residential properties that have low occupancy rates. The grant is provided in two parts; the first rebates a portion of municipal charges associated with the rebuild or demolition and the second provides a partial tax relief on the new value.

Commercial Renovate and Rebuild Grant

This grant is to be used to improve commercial properties that have high vacancy rates. Hotels and motels are eligible to apply for this grant based on occupancy. The grant is provided in two parts; the first rebates a portion of municipal charges associated with the rebuild or demolition and the second provides a partial tax relief on the new value.
