National Day for Truth and Reconciliation - Flag Raising

In recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the Town of Fort Frances will hold a special flag raising ceremony at the Civic Centre on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. 

Mayor Andrew Hallikas, Members of Council and Town staff will join members of the Gizhewaadiziwin Health Access Centre for the flag raising. 

We invite residents to attend at the Civic Centre and join this event, which is commemorating the tragedy of residential schools in Canada and their continuing impact on Indigenous communities.
