Public Notice Town of Fort Frances Committee of Adjustment

TAKE NOTICE that a meeting of the Committee of Adjustment for the Corporation of the Town of Fort Frances will be held on Wednesday August 20th, 2025 at 5:30 p.m., in the Committee Room of the Fort Frances Civic Centre to consider the following application submitted under Section 45 of the Planning Act, R.S.O.1990, c. P.13, as amended:

• File A5-2025 – 624 Riverview Drive This application is to request variance from the Zoning By-law to:
  • Permit an accessory dwelling unit to exceed 40% of the gross floor area of the principal dwelling.
  • Permit the accessory building to exceed 15% lot coverage.
  • Permit the accessory building to exceed a height of 2m less than the principal dwelling unit.

Any person may attend this meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to an application or be represented by counsel for that purpose.

If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Town of Fort Frances Committee of Adjustment in respect of the proposed request for minor variance, you must make a written request to the Municipal Planner at the address below.

Additional information and material regarding this application is available for public inspection through various means of distribution on weekdays between 8:30am and 4:30pm.
