Walks, Parades, Road Closures

Did You Know:
If you are planning one of the following on public land in the boundaries of the Town of Fort Frances, you need a letter of permission:
- Planned walk (walks that invite participation, which may include jogging, rollerblading, etc.)
- Parades
- Road Closures
- Events (outside of what is already allowable for the land, such as food trucks, bouncy castles, etc.)
Certain events which bring on further risk will require insurance to be purchased for the event, with the "Town of Fort Frances" requiring to be added as an additional insured. This is mandatory for parades. You will be informed if your event requires insurance.
The Town of Fort Frances suggests to submit your request well in advance. It is the Office of the Clerk which receives initial requests, and due to legislative responsibilities of the Office, it may be 2-3 weeks before a permit is began. Exceptions may be made for when a letter of permission is needed urgently, however this is not guaranteed.
Please utilize the below form to submit your request as this form ensures that the minimum requirements of a request are fulfilled. Please enter your most appropriate contacts, as if additional information is required, this will be used as the primary method to contact you.
